SAC News: The SAC is an open committee and welcomes all people to attend. We've set up an email group for Social Action open to all GUUF members to receive announcements about events happening in the community (normally only one email a week maximum). If you wish to enroll, send an email to moderator Ned Cooney You can also suggest items for the GUUF Social Action Email; just send items to moderator Ned Cooney for inclusion in future emails. As a reminder, these are events and issues that are not officially sanctioned by GUUF, but may be of interest. The idea is to stimulate your thinking, action and interest…Enjoy and let us know what you think! GUUF Community Involvement: Supporting the Flathead Food Bank and The GUUF Social Action Committee has two ongoing charitable projects. We will be running a collection on the fourth Sunday of each month. Please consider bringing items (described below) to support the involvement of GUUF in the community. We are encouraging participation from everyone in the Fellowship: 1) We will be doing a monthly collection for the Flathead Food Bank. The most pressing needs of the Food Bank change from month-to-month so we will be sending out an email each month to inform GUUF members about what to bring. This month, the Food Bank needs canned meat, beans (chili, baked, refried, etc.) and baby food/formula, especially cereal. 2) We will be doing a monthly collection for the Samaritan House, a transitional shelter for the homeless. The most pressing on-going need is for toiletries, like shampoo and soap, and for paper goods, like toilet paper and paper towels. We will be collecting the above items on the fourth Sunday of each month. Thank you for helping the Social Action Committee make our monthly collections a success!
